Emon Reiser   Reporter  South Florida Business Journal The Southeast’s first EVEN Hotel is being built in the Palmer Lake section of the Miami International Airport, its developers announced. Epelboim Development Group and Atlanta’s  InterContinental Hotels Group (NYSE: IHG) are developing the 189-room resort and expect to deliver it by 2018. VEN Hotels is the newest lifestyle brand from InterContinental Hotels Group and is geared toward “wellness-minded” travelers. The brand has two locations open in Rockville, Maryland, and Norwalk, Connecticut, and six hotels in development in New York City, Seattle and Omaha, Nebraska. IHG, based in the United Kingdom, is behind a portfolio of hotel brands including the InterContinental, Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites and others.
